Our Family
George and I started farming 25 years ago. Nicole was still in diapers. George was a fisherman for 30years, and I was a marketing executive at the same fishing company. We left that life so we could stay home and watch our daughter grow up. We started organic and sustainable farming to make sure we took care of our future generation's land. When we learned that grass-fed beef is more sustainable and humane for the animals and the environment, we switched to a grass-based beef operation. Neighboring farmers used to make fun of us because we put up "no-spray" signs so that no Round-UP would get on our fields. George taught himself soil science to ensure our soil was healthy and vibrant to grow healthy animals on grass only. I assist in livestock operations with George, and I do all the marketing & sales & bookkeeping. Due to George's declining health, our daughter, Nicole, has taken over our livestock operation as the operation manager in the last two years so that he could semi-retire. With the wonderful help from of our farm team, this mother-daughter team is forging on.
We also grow organic chickens, turkeys, and eggs. We raise all of our animals humanely in our pastures with no chemicals, pesticides, or hormones. They are clean, wholesome, and nutrient-rich. I am grateful that many people care about how we grow our animals and are willing to pay for them. Thank you for supporting our family business; it's a privilege to be your farmer. Sincerely, Farmer Eiko
